Trademarks, Patents, Designs & Models

We have developed strong expertise in trademark, patent, and design law, and support our clients at all stages of the lifecycle of their industrial property rights, both in advisory work and in litigation. We also assist in negotiating and drafting agreements related to these rights.

We help our clients define their intellectual property protection strategy and implement it, for example by ensuring the availability of chosen distinctive signs (prior art searches), and by carrying out the necessary filings and registration procedures (trademarks, designs, Soleau envelopes) before French, European Union, and international offices.

We represent and assist clients in pre-litigation and litigation matters involving industrial property rights, including opposition proceedings before the French IP Office (INPI) or the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), actions for invalidity, revocation, or ownership claims, seizure and infringement actions, trademark infringement, and unfair competition cases, both as claimant and defendant. We also work with a network of foreign correspondents to handle cross-border matters.

We assist clients in structuring their IP agreements by negotiating and drafting various contracts, including licences, assignments, coexistence agreements, co-ownership agreements, partnership agreements, confidentiality agreements (NDAs), and security interests such as pledges.
